Since October 2025, Radboud University has added a new Master's program: Healthcare Humanities. This Dutch-language Master's program is the result of collaboration between three RU faculties, with Jelle van Gurp and Gert Olthuis from IQ Health and the Faculty of Medical Sciences involved.
The program is interdisciplinary, with a unique mix of ethics and philosophy, social sciences, language and communication, and art and history. Each course will focus on complex problems in healthcare, which we will analyze and solve from a humanities perspective. There is also ample attention for research methods. Students with a variety of bachelor's degrees are eligible for admission. The first group of students will start on September 1, 2026.
