About us

Organisation

IQ Health is one of the three scientific departments at the Radboud University Medical Center; a state-of-the-art department with the core tasks of research and education.

We work closely with the institutes of the Radboud University Medical Center, each of which represents a core mission of the center:

• Radboudumc Research Institute for Medical Innovation (research)
• Radboudumc Health Academy (education)
• Radboudumc Patient Care Institute (patient care)

Design of our department

The heart of our department consists of six Research & Education (R&E) groups. These groups collaborate internally and externally (both nationally and internationally) on topical issues and are connected on the two core tasks of research and teaching (view page). In addition, these groups provide external consultation (view page).

Projects are supported by the team Research Support (view page). They are also used by other (external) parties.

The entire department is supported by the operations column, the secretariat and the quality officer.

IQ Health is a fusion of the former Radboud departments IQ healthcare and Health Evidence.

Mission and vision statement

Our mission statement is: Preventing illness, improving care!

In doing so, we contribute to the mission of the Radboud University Medical Center: “To have a significant impact on health and healthcare.”

In particular, we acquire and disseminate knowledge about preventing disease and improving care, as well as about the methodology needed for valid and relevant information about it.

The key is to prevent disease and care, by focusing on person-centered prevention. If care is really needed then it should be tailored and delivered in an integrated network around the patient.

IQ Health wants to excel in the development, consultation and education on methods of research.
