Dear Healthcare Professionals,
We cordially invite hospitals in and outside Europe to participate in informative webinars on conducting a perioperative patient safety self-assessment. These webinars offer a unique opportunity to understand the current status of perioperative patient safety within your hospital and discover where improvements can be made.
Why participate?
- Insight and Improvement: The self-assessment provides a detailed scan of perioperative patient safety in your hospital. The results show where there is room for improvement.
- Benchmarking: Compare your results with those of other participating hospitals (anonymized, within and outside the Netherlands and Europe) and learn from best practices.
- Knowledge sharing: Receive valuable information and practical tips from experts in the field of quality and safety of care.
For whom? These webinars are designed for:
- Quality and safety coordinators and staff members
- Clinical staff with quality and safety in their portfolio
- Departments and quality and safety committees
- All other interested parties within hospitals, with a focus on the perioperative pathway (pre-, per- and post-operative care).
IQ Health (Radboudumc) is a partner of the EU-funded SAFEST project (SAFEty in surgical care through the STandardization and harmonization of perioperative care in Europe), see Safest | Welcome. The goal of this project is "to play a decisive role in improving patient safety by (1) identifying and agreeing on a uniform set of evidence-based perioperative recommendations, and (2) promoting their implementation across Europe. SAFEST was funded by the European Union's Horizon Europe Framework Program (grant agreement no. 101057825).
The informative webinars are in English and are provided by the coordinator of SAFEST, the Donabedian Institute (FAD) in Barcelona. If you are interested and would like more information about the project, please contact Dr. Hilly Calsbeek, SAFEST project leader on behalf of IQ Health (h.calsbeek@radboudumc.nl).
