Philip van der Wees has been recognized by World Physiotherapy as one of the world’s 75 leading physical therapists.
Throughout his career, Philip has contributed to strengthening evidence-based physical therapy through the development of clinical guidelines, implementation science, and quality improvement in healthcare.
During his time at the KNGF (Royal Dutch Society for Physical Therapy), he was responsible for implementing the organization’s quality assurance program for physical therapists, including the development and implementation of clinical guidelines.
For more than ten years, he was closely involved with the Europe region of World Physiotherapy, where he contributed to professional standards and the implementation of guidelines, and also supported international collaboration through the Guidelines International Network (GIN).
