Knowledge bank Publications 'Decision aid is tool for patient and physician'

To treat or not to treat, to treat more or less invasively: there are several treatment options for patients with kidney cancer to choose from when talking with their healthcare provider. But how do they know which treatment is best for them? And how can they prepare for the conversation with the health care provider? The Kidney cancer Decision aids can help. Cato Bresser, physician-researcher in Urology & Value-Driven Care & Lean, is working on their development and implementation. She was interviewed about it in Oncology Today magazine.

Cato C. Bresser is physician-researcher in Urology and Value-Driven Care & Lean at St. Antonius Hospital in Nieuwegein and is a PhD student at the IQ Health department. Before starting her research, she worked as an anios Urology at the Spaarne Gasthuis in Hoofddorp and Haarlem.
