Egon Jonsson Award for Janneke Grutters and Abril Seyahian
Abril Seyahian and Janneke Grutters of the Health Systems & HTA group at IQ Health have received the Egon Jonsson Award for the most outstanding article published in 2025 in the International Journal of Technology Assessment in Health Care (IJTAHC). The award-winning article is the result of an international working group led by Janet Bouttell and Janneke Grutters.
The working group developed a consensus definition for early Health Technology Assessment (HTA) through an iterative process, including a two-round Delphi survey. The definition represents a significant step forward in this field, and it is a wonderful recognition that this work has now been honored.
The accompanying cash prize of $1,000 will be donated to all4small, a Dutch foundation established by and on the initiative of pediatricians, neonatologists, and nurses to better support vulnerable and fragile premature babies and to raise awareness of important research that will improve the survival rates of newborns.
