On Friday 30 October last, IQ Health was informed that three grants had been awarded in relation to appropriate care. A total of 20 grants were awarded nationwide.
This related to a call for proposals from ZonMw’s Methodology Development for Appropriate Care programme, part of the Appropriate Care 2024–2028 framework programme.
The grants relate to the following three studies:
- From guidelines to package management: explicit societal considerations in appropriate care, proposed by prof. dr. Rob Baltussen;
- Evidence from practice on appropriate care for guideline evaluation and revision, proposed by dr. Esther Janssen;
- Research into Appropriate Paramedical Care (CARE-AH): developing a methodological framework, proposed by prof. dr. Maud Graf.
The committee’s assessment was that the three grant applications are highly relevant. The grants for these three studies have been awarded for a period of 24 months.
