On February 3, 2026, IQ Health colleague Stef Groenewoud, PhD candidate Wieke Ligtenberg, and ethicist Theo Boer will present a new collection of stories in which doctors talk about their experiences with euthanasia (requests).
The new book 'Euthanasie en de dokter' (Euthanasia and the Doctor) offers a unique insight into euthanasia practice from the perspective of the doctor as a human being and a professional. Doctors rarely speak openly about their experiences with euthanasia, but here they do.
This book will be presented during a symposium, officially handed over to the KNMG, and discussed in an interactive meeting. This symposium will focus on the experiences of doctors. A symposium full of reflection, recognition, and exchange.
