HTA is a multidisciplinary process that uses explicit methods to determine the value of a health technology at different points in its life cycle. The goal is to inform decision making to promote an equitable, efficient and high-quality health system. As such, it requires transdisciplinary teamwork. It is closely intertwined with clinical practice and health policy.
